We can help you promote your work through our communication channels or external media coverage. You can also register your interest in speaking to journalists about your area of expertise when relevant media enquiries come in.

From poster presentation or offered prizes, research visit grants, vacation studentships to travel grants, there is an opportunity for everyone to get involved. The Society also awards up to £2,000 to members organising a conference in any field of microbiology, independently or in partnership with another Society.
We provide members, policy makers and other researchers with opportunities to engage in our science policy work. We support our members to champion microbiology, and policy-makers to access the best microbiological evidence and expertise.
Champions are members who raise the Society’s profile in their local area, by initiating activities and events of their own, or participating in Society-led events to achieve the same result.
