Environment in Focus submission

The UK Parliament’s Environmental Audit Committee has launched its ‘The Environment in Focus’ inquiry, inviting proposals on what the Committee should investigate next in the areas of climate change, the environment and nature.

The Microbiology Society responded to this inquiry, urging the committee to investigate antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in wastewater. Our submission highlights why this issue matters and what actions are needed from the UK Government.
