Unlocking Potential Grant to help early and mid-career microbiologists achieve their full potential – now open!

We know that every microbiologist’s career development needs are different, so each grant will be offering a bespoke package or ‘toolkit’. Our modular approach will provide early and mid-career microbiologist members with the opportunity to identify their own career development needs by understanding themselves and their career goals, and combining a series of different options to overcome the barriers they have experienced.

We have partnered with industry-leading organisations and providers to deliver the modules of the toolkit. These partners include the United Kingdom Charter Chapter of the International Coaching Federation, Leadership Sculptor, the organisation behind EMBO’s leadership training and Sarah Blackford, the leading biosciences careers consultant.

All recipients of the Unlocking Potential Grant will also join an Unlocking Potential network, to share their experiences, offer peer perspectives on career development and support each other long into the future. This is an exciting opportunity and one that will support future leaders of microbiology across all sectors.

Early and mid-career members of the Microbiology Society can find out more and apply for an Unlocking Potential Grant.

To find out more about donating to support the grant, please visit the Unlocking Potential Fund page.
